Inspired by legends such as Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, and Bob Marley, Lifford Roots carries the spirit of reggae’s golden era while adding his own fresh and contemporary twist. His performances are uplifting journeys filled with deep basslines, harmony-rich grooves, and songs that celebrate love, unity, and life.

Over the years, Lifford has shared stages with iconic acts including Luciano, The Dualers, Janet Kay, and The Marley Experience, and has performed at renowned venues like London’s Jazz Café.

In August 2025, Lifford released his debut single, which immediately caught the attention of the UK’s biggest reggae and soul tastemakers. It received support from BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, Mi-Soul Radio, and was playlisted by respected DJs including Ras Kwame, Daddy Ernie, and Ronnie Herrell. He also appeared online with DJ AG, performing his single “Can I Call You Rose” with Rub A Dub Love Sound. More recently, he has been recording with The Dualers for their upcoming album.

With a new single due for release in October 2025 and more music in the works, Lifford Roots is stepping firmly into his own lane as one of the UK’s most exciting reggae voices.
